Facilities
Our main facilities and operations are to the south-west of Abu Dhabi International Airport, occupying 200,000m2 adjacent to Terminal 3.

Hangars cover approximately 30,000m2 and are supported by an extensive range of component and engine overhaul and repair workshops, test laboratories and bonded storage, as well as a 100,000lb thrust Engine Test Cell, totalling 64,000m2 of facilities.

Hangars include:

  • A state-of-the-art A380 hangar - one of the first in the world
  • A hangar accommodating three adjacent and fully docked A330/B767 aircraft, plus two narrow-body aircraft (nose-in)
  • A dedicated 2-bay C130-size hangar
  • A dedicated A340-300-size paint hangar

And, in the planning stage are:

  • A three-bay, state-of-the-art B777 hangar due on line in 2009
  • A fully-automated paint hangar due on line in 2010

We have 140,000m2 of apron space dedicated to light checks and non-scheduled maintenance work. From 2011, there will be a fully-dedicated light maintenance facility with a hangar capable of accommodating two adjacent A380 aircraft, located in the heart of Abu Dhabi's new midfield terminal complex.

Line stations operate at Abu Dhabi International Airport, as well as Sharjah International, RAK International, Al Ain International and the Al Bateen and Al Minhad airbases.
